BAA FELLOWSHIP SHOW, 2020
April 3 through 30, 2020
Berkshire Art Association Fellowships have been awarded annually since the early 1970s to encourage emerging college artists in their choice of visual arts as a means of expression. Fellowships are open to any enrolled college student majoring in art who either grew up in Berkshire County or goes to college in Berkshire County. Jurors are artists, art educators and other art professionals. They will award $5000 in prizes this year. Visit the BAA website berkshireartassociation.org to view recent BAA Fellowship Shows.
Lichtenstein Center for the Arts is a City-owned art center in a re-purposed industrial building in the heart of downtown Pittsfield. Its gallery is a beautiful space with high beams and a grand piano, lending itself to small concerts and performances. Artist studios, meeting and classrooms occupy the other spaces. College Artists: On this site you may submit up to ten entries of recent work. If you do not have an image when you first register, be sure to upload your images and a brief artist statement by our deadline – Sunday, February 23rd at 11:59 PM. Your images will be what the jury sees. Each artwork should have its own ID, and you may upload up to three images of each piece. Read and print the Artist Exhibition Agreement (click Terms and Conditions at bottom of page). You will be notified by email on of the jury's decision by Friday, February 28, 2020.
- Step One: Register your account.
- Step Two: Add your entries and brief artist statement by February 23rd before midnight!
- Step Three: Make arrangement to drop-off your artwork for the show!
Please be sure to protect your work when you prepare it for delivery.
Artists should consider how the work is to be hung or displayed. Two dimensional works should be ready for hanging. If instructions are needed, please include specific instructions and the necessary hardware.
